Biography
Keon Young Park, M.D., Ph.D. is currently a general surgery resident with the UCSF Department of Surgery. She undertook undergraduate studies at Emory University majoring in Physics. She received a medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering jointly from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University where she received the American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship.
Dr. Park began her general surgery residency training as a categorical resident at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she completed the first two years of general surgery training. Between 2018-2020, she completed a T32 Research Training Program.
Dr. Park's clinical interest is in pediatric surgery and inflammatory bowel disease. Her research interest is to combine computational and experimental biology to develop patient-specific intestinal models to predict disease progression and treatment responses in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
