Jane (Jaeyun) Wang, M.D. is currently a general surgery resident with the UCSF Department of Surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, where she majored in Neurobiology and graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. She then attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society upon graduation.

Dr. Wang has been involved in clinical research in surgical oncology since 2015, contributing to projects investigating how we can improve perioperative prognostication for patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases. Most recently, she has become interested in using artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve the prediction of pre-operative margin status for patients with pancreas cancer. She plans to pursue a fellowship in Surgical Oncology.
