Miguel Nunez is a first-year general surgery resident at UCSF. He completed his B.S. at the University of California Los Angeles where he majored in Molecullar, Cellular and Developmental Biology. He spent a year between undergraduate and medical school working on advancing oncological therapies for women with ovarian cancer.

Miguel attended medical school at the University of California San Francisco where he graduated with an MD with distinction after completing a year of research investigating the use of long-term normothermic liver perfusion to improve organ quality. He is interested in health disparities, clinical research, and health policy and plans to pursue a career in either Abdominal Transplant or Surgical Oncology.
